It's ok that he does not respect others, but he could have respected himself.

Lower EPF rate, higher income tax payment!

Well, if you haven't lived in the jungles for last few months, you should know that the Gov has proposed to lower everyone's EPF contribution of 11% to 8%, so that you and I could have some 'extra income' derived from there. What the Gov didn't you, by means of that lower EPF contribution, that you might hit a higher income tax bracket!

Smart and sleazy ain't it?

Let' assume your monthly basic salary is RM4,000.

If your monthly EPF contribution is 11% (RM440), then your taxable income = RM3560, and income tax payable = RM77.

If your monthly EPF contribution is 8% (RM320), then your taxable income = RM3680, and income tax payable = RM109.

If you choose to contribute 8%, you will end up paying more income tax to the government which will make the Gov richer.

So, you might think that you have more money in your pockets, well, part of that pocket actually belongs to the Gov! This is the Gov way to establish a WIN-WIN. Ain't that great?

Race requirement when making complaint.

Recently, I've visited DBKL eAduan website. I've got to say, their website is darn darn slow. So slow that I think my grandmother would have made a run on 400m and the page will still be loading the content.


Anyway, what's more baffling that RACE requirement was needed when making a complaint.


Does that help in anyway that the complaint would be addressed with lightning speed? I guess not, because, more than 6months ago, I've made a complaint report and till today, the problem still persists.

Will there be recession or not?

BusinessTimes reported that U.S, Eurozone (ie Germany the biggest economy in Europe, UK and Italy are in recession. Spain is heading for one.) and HongKong is already in recession. BBC reported that Japan and Singapore economies are already in recession. ABC reported that Australia is heading for a recession. A commentary has published a report that China, Russia, India and Brazil are all heading either a downturn or a slowdown. If the countries mentioned above are not one of the largest around, I don't know what is.

Sun Microsystem said that it will cut jobs, 18% of it's workforce or 6,000 jobs. Citibank was reported that it will shed 52,000 jobs or 15% of it's workforce. I'm sure the list doesn't stop here.

Even our local Human Resource Minister has said that "there are predictions that next year we will face bigger problems." He also said that the ministry will discuss the setting up of a retrenchment fund and have asked the International Labour Organisation to do research on how to implement the fund in the Malaysian context.

One-by-one, the economic dominos are showing its effect.

Even Warren Buffet has said that US economy will be more severe that most people's expectation.

BUT BUT

Najib says that Malaysia will not experience recession, today and last month.

mmmm.... it just doesn't add up, does it?

'where's the professionalism?'
'where's the check and balance?'
'since when IGP is the press secretary?'
'why was there a rush to arrest people when proper checks are not done?'

Why not, Anyone can be DPM?

Well, seems like everyone got caught up with Obama's rhetoric presidential win recently. TheStar reported the PM sleepy head talking nonsense again, he said, "Anyone can be PM".

You and I know that's just bullshit, considering what the Federal Constitution and Malay supremacy had to say. But here's another perspective, if the sleepy head walks the talk, why not appointing someone else from another BN party to be the DPM instead going to the same party that has been hogging the seat since Merdeka.

On the recent theStar's article;

When being asked what happens if there’s an additional passenger on the ruling of rear seat belts, Federal Traffic Chief Senior Asst Comm Abdul Aziz said, "It’s too early for me to comment on that, we will decide on the matter when the time comes."

Going out of topic then he went on and said, for now, the concern was to educate the passengers to start using the rear seat belts. "It is a good practice for the drivers, and also for the safety of their passengers." he said.

Wouldn't it be a good part of the education to know when the law enforcement are ready to bring in the books?

Don't you hate it when these people doesn't make up their mind? No one bothered what he said unless there are a genuine enforcement comes in to effect.

Seriously, I don't think there is a time that is 'too early' when it comes to saving lives. Just do it lah!

Zaid Ibrahim, the former law minister who recently resigned said, "In terms of ISA usage, for example, the police said we detain first, then only we investigate. This is a strange principle. I don’t understand this. You cannot detain people just because you want to investigate."

It was said that Najib, on behalf of UMNO, issued a public apology over a remark made by Bukit Bendera Umno division head Datuk Ahmad Ismail during the Permatang Pauh parliamentary by-election last month.

Earlier, PM Abdullah came to Ahmad's defence and said, "I don’t think he meant it".

In the run-up to the Permatang Pauh by-election, Ahmad Ismail had said at a ceramah that the Chinese in Malaysia were mere immigrants in the country and thus were not entitled to equal rights.

And the very next moment, MCA was said that it accepted the apology.

What's in today's news? "Ahmad: Why should I apologise?"

Budget RM20

When tabling the National Budget 2009 last Friday, PM Abdullah said: “As part of the government’s effort to further reduce the financial burden of the lower income group, households which incur monthly electricity bills of RM20 or less, will not have to pay for electricity for the period from Oct 1, 2008 to the end of 2009.”

RM20?

If you have a refrigerator running 24 hours daily at home you can forget about enjoying the RM20 electricity monthly exemption.

"The Government will install closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) in major cities next year, said deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainudin. He said the "mobile" CCTVs, which can rotate 360 degrees, would be able to record objects about 200 metres away and the records could be kept for a month. We will install the 'mobile' CCTVs together with 496 CCTVs in major cities including Kuala Lumpur, Malacca and Penang soon. The first phase, costing RM75mil, is expected to completed by April next year."

What? Records could be keep for a month? Haha.. almost laughable!

And then you read on, 496 CCTVs for RM75million. That's like RM150K per CCTV. No mention of the bidding process although I'll love to get my hands on this project!

It is obvious that even Umno own by-election machinery is not in 'taking terms' with it's chosen candidate, what makes people think that this candidate will have the ears of the biggest party in BN?

It is almost laughable when I found out that our Home Minister is a trained lawyer. Yah, this is the same kepala botak that gave away much more hair to Singapore over the Pulau Puteh.

Now going by to what he had said earlier about an impending commits sodomy case, obviously, it takes two to tango. Now, this sodomised fler has made a police report. Then this kepala botak goes on to say that if one makes a report on it, he/she will be protected by virtue of being a witness. Now.. what if.. the other party also makes a police report. then we have 2 witness, so who's will the police going to charge the crime upon?

It is this people makes biased statements that makes me sick. This fellow, a minister whom I always thought had a higher IQ than most of the current cabinet ministers said that the government will be deemed as perompak (or robbers) if it demands that Independent Power Producers (IPPs) reduce their charge capacity. His point was obviously to protect the interest of IPPs rather than the government or for that matter the rakyat.

When the government announced the fuel hike to RM2.70/litre on 5th June , the global crude oil was at traded at NYMEX for USD135/barrel. It has since rescinded to USD118/barrel on a steady downward trend.

But then when this happens, you don't hear a lot of intellectual statements from him.

So, is the government a perompak, robbing rakyats in this case when it refuses to lower/review the fuel prices at the pumps? So, what good is our domestic trade and consumer goods is good for?

To me, this is like a new found form of TAX that the government is pocketing without many realizing it. Don't you think so?

Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan is not being charged because he is the key witness in the sodomy case against PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar.

He said that in a criminal justice system, when a person comes forward to report on a matter, the person would be protected.

“Usually, the victim is given protection,” Syed Hamid said

Kinda weird answer if you asked me. The thing is, the victim wasn't a victim in this case. It was more like a partner-in-crime. I'll be fine when/if the partner-in-crime comes out to be a witness and gets the cop's protection. But I find it hard to comprehend that this fellow is not charged accordingly to the law of the crimes he committed. Does this minister is to say that, if I robs a bank with you and I reports you to the cops and that I will get away from the crime that I have just committed with you?

Doesn't sound logical right?

And now you know why we lost out a piece of rock to Singapore.

I find it very interesting with PAS recommending the implementation of Hudud Law if the proposed PAS-Umno merger becomes a reality. Well, if the merger does happens, I doubt there will be any top grass from the other party be to alive and be a member of the new party! ;)

Or it could turned out be, Party Separuh OKU, with OKU stands out for Orang Kurang Upaya.

Which one of the reasons why I don't believe the merger will ever takes place.
