More smoke screen from hell, now you can't really see the bus, can you?

How to play?

Well, a well known bank recently (and ongoing as of this writing) organised a online contest for all their customers. All you need to open an account in any deposit accounts. The prize? Up to RM3k on weekly basis. Despite the high standard of living in KL, RM3k is still a lot of money. So much money until someone resorted to hacking the bank's application and he/she succeeded!



This may not be the bank's core transactional system, but it's still a scary thought though. Still wanna deposit your monies with them?

Lady janitor in men's toilet

Eight out of ten times I walk in to a men's toilet, especially in any shopping mall, I find a lady janitor cleaning... in the men's toilet while men 'openly' weeing away. It is weird and I do feel awkward when relieving myself. I'm sure she feels the same. Anyway, do you think it is ethically right for a lady to be in a men's toilet while men relieves themselves? If it is not okay, then why are they there?

Where's the bus stop?

Both of the above pictures show the same place but of different direction. It's not a great picture but it's telling though. Are you able to find the bus stop? What else did you noticed which is so glaring unless you're blind? The whole 5foot walkway has been taken over by illegal hawkers. Kids from school across the street and people who lived there are forced to walk on the road to get to another place. Legal and rent-paying shop lots are forced to compete with these illegal booths for customers. No, they're not your fly-by-night setups. They have stable electrical lines and good running water. From where? I don't know. They have been there for like 5 years or so. Towards efficient 2020? More like going backwards like third-world country. And this, all thanks to DBKL.

Seat belt not needed.

I'm just curious. Every time i drive by a moving police patrol car, I can't help but to take a look at the front passengers (driver included). 10 out of 10, these policemen don't put on the safety seat belt. I am just wondering if these men really worried about crumpled uniforms or their life at stake. Studies have shown, speed kills even with a mere 60kmph. And there you know it, that is why I am not in police force.

Between morons and idiots

My jaws nearly fell off when I saw these men standing on an extension of a moving truck, cruising along 65kmph, on a middle lane at Jalan Kuching in KL at 10am working day. No, they are not film making stunt men and they are not making any films. They're just DBKL general workers. I followed the truck for next 5km or so, and I have no idea why these guys are doing this stupid thing. They're just dangerously standing there doing nothing! If these guys are so macho, go join the Bomba (firefighter's) team. As least if they do met an accident, it will be seen as heroic, but to meet an accident just by standing on an open edge of a moving truck, I don't know if I'll be as sympathetic. Or maybe it serves them right to be an idiot. More so, without using common sense.

Perhimpunan Bas Haram

Yeah, that's right. The bus is parked on the sidewalk. Wait. Not just one bus.

Then came another 'red-sect' bus to join a row of buses to park on the sidewalk.


And then, came another 'white-buddy' bus. It stopped, maybe the bus driver was chatting with the other and created a backlog of traffic by blocking one of the road lane. This forced the motorist to maneuver to the other flowing traffic lane.

Oh.. the bus is in the move again. But wait...


It parked entirely on the walkway! Good thinking by the driver?

And another!

What the hell!!! JPJ KL headquarters is only 400metres away! Is this a cowboy town or what? Really, does anyone care? Since when this place turned out to be a bus depot?

Haunted Police Beat?

If you get lost or in an emergency and you walk around looking for help but found this empty air-conditioned furnished police beat, what will your thoughts be? Empty, you would say? So am I, but not without finishing some creative compliments to those guys. I don't know why this beat is not manned, maybe it's haunted.

What road sign?

Well if you don't know what the road sign above represents, it says No Parking/Waiting for any vehicles by the road kerb. This is a universal sign, but apparently it doesn't apply to Malaysia. Here's why....

Great if you can spot the road sign in this picture. Those guys in there just didn't and what did you know? There's a police headquarters just 200meters down the road and a local DBKL office just 50meters away. Truly amazing! Whats so amazing you'll ask? Either these guys who parked their vehicles and doesn't bother the road sign because they know they will not be caught or those men-in-white uniform guys just didn't issue tickets to make it known that it is illegal to park or wait by the kerb. if you know, you'll tell me.

Which way?

Cant blame if you find yourself on the wrong side of traffic, can you?

Playing blind

If you have taken a quick glance, there seems to be nothing wrong with this picture. Looks like a decent set up and thriving business. They have been here for years, seems to be sustainable outfit. There's electricity, running water, roof, seats and tables. Yes, everyone has the right to have a good time out at mamak stalls with their burger ramli. But wait, and look closer....


"Kawasan Larangan Menjaja", which literary translated to hawkers prohibited in this area. What and whose right did give this guys doing business here? Where did it get electricity, running water, etc. Remember the (now demolished) famous satay stall in Kajang? I don't know who is playing blind here. The authorities or the entrepreneur. Maybe both choose to be, you know, you'll scratch my back and I'll do yours pact.

Naaah, apa bikin!

Surely if I know how to count (since it involves some kind of business and money), I know how to read right? Who would that be, the man in this picture or the authorities (in this case, DBKL) who put up the signage?

Sleeping ITIS

According to ITIS website (which sometimes goes offline when you most needed it), Integrated Transport Information System (ITIS) is a comprehensive traffic information system developed for City Hall Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) to monitor traffic flow and analyse the data on road conditions in the Klang Valley to provide useful traffic information to road users.

According to theStar dated 1 Apr 2006 under 'Putting public transport system on the right track' article, ITIS was built on the cost of RM365million under 8th Malaysia Plan.

Now, that's a lot of money!

What really pisses me off, despite the HUGE expenditure, on the weekday afternoon where traffic was really bad and you needed information as where does the source of this traffic jam was (so that you can think of alternative routes instead of sitting like a duck in the car), the ITIS functioning electrical board was EMPTY!

Now, isn't it stupid to build a RM365million infrastructure that doesn't serve information that you or motorist needed? ITIS prides itself to be 'comprehensive traffic information to provide useful traffic information to road users'. Yeah, right. Someone is obviously sleeping on the job. (and you'll know where this culture started? haha, no prize for that answer!)

Poor guy

I feel sympathetic for this guy sitting at the loading bay of the lorry. It was raining heavily and he used a green plastic sheet to cover himself from the downpour. If you noticed, he's rear-facing and if the lorry breaks hard, he'll definitely fall and hit on his head on to the planks due to the opposing momentum. I know I may have exaggerated the situation but I am sure the lorry driver would not be putting any of his family in the same situation as he did for this man in this picture. Some people are really ignorant, or rather choose to be one.

She's got guts

I don't think one needs an appointment when it comes to breaking a law. These pictures weres taken today, 9am morning at Jalan Pinang, just behind Komplex Antarabangsa/Hotel Equatorial.

No, there isn't more seats in the bus, or was it the other way round.

Yes, the gov have announced many billions-worth of corridor projects, yet you see this kind of silly transportation in KL city itself. tentu-lah, DBKL boleh! of course this is not the first stunt DBKL pulled off, you can read the other one here. These "freestyle' vehicles passed by traffic-directing policemen without any problem. you ok, we ok.

If DBKL can do it, sure can this fellow. They look so relaxed, so are those who are lying six feet under.

Yes its cool to ride bikes, you can mess with my life but not my hair, ok?

It feels good to hang out with your friends. But what if your friend is breaking the law, wouldn't it be good to remind him/her about it? or would you join and be the ignorant one. these three chaps are obviously doing something wrong, but wouldn't someone care to tell them that it is wrong and dangerous to ride those bike unprotected? is there something wrong with the law enforcement, wrongly placed road safety reminders (tv and billboards), just pure ignorance, poor education background or all the above?
